Rumor has it that these Tottenham natives are a thing.
Romance is in the air for Adele and Skepta.
A source for People confirmed that the two are dating and that “things have been heating up” in recent months.”They run in the same circles in London, and she’s having fun,” the insider told the outlet.
Earlier this summer, the two were caught getting flirty on Instagram. After the singer posted a photo of herself watching her own 2016 Glastonbury performance from home, Skepta commented, “Finally got your Instagram password lol.” Adele responded to his teasing with a winking emoji followed by a red heart.
- The Sun reported this week that Grammy Award-winning singer Adele may be dating British rapper Skepta, who is also from her hometown of Tottenham.
- Earlier this year, Adele split from her ex-husband Simon Konecki, with whom she shares a son.
- Both have yet to address the rumors.
Adele may have found a boy.
According to The Sun, the Grammy Award-winning singer has been on a string of dates with British rapper and songwriter Skepta, who was previously romantically linked with supermodel Naomi Campbell. Adele experienced a recent breakup when she divorced from Simon Konecki this past April.
A source at The Sun said, “Adele and Skepta have been there for each other a lot after both their relationships split up. They have a close bond and there’s definitely a special connection.“
The source added the two are increasingly spending time together. “Some of their friends are hoping and predicting they could end up being a great couple one day,” the insider said.
Although dating rumors have just sparked, the two musicians have been in contact for years. Skepta credits a sweet tweet from Adele in 2016, in which she captioned a photo of him as “Tottenham Boy ❤️,” as something that encouraged him to continue pursuing music.
“She gassed me up,” the rapper told IB Times. “One day I was just chilling and she [tweeted] a picture that said ‘Tottenham boy’ and she’s from Tottenham as well. I was actually going to quit music that day, that was one of the sickest things ever. She’s like the lady of Tottenham and she called me ‘Tottenham boy.'”
Skepta also further explained the extent of his friendship with Adele, telling the Evening Standard, “Adele texts me all the time and keeps me in check. She speaks to me about how things are going. She’s one of the people I know that, from her [example] alone, you can move in a certain way where you’re not inviting fame. She’s the biggest artist in the world, bro, and you do not see her in the papers [every day].”
