Kate Middleton Reportedly Shops for Charlotte and George’s Halloween Costumes at the Supermarket

Duchess of Cambridge in Aisle 3.

  • Shoppers in Norfolk today reportedly spotted Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, perusing children Halloween costumes in the supermarket Sainsbury’s.
  • She was accompanied by Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and a bodyguard.
  • Kate asked one of her fellow shopper’s kids what they were going to dress up as for Halloween, too.

Today, the Duchess of Cambridge was reportedly spotted perusing a supermarket’s collection of children Halloween costumes, accompanied by Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and a six-foot-tall bodyguard. Ah, royals. They’re just like us.

Kate Middleton was shopping at Saintbury’s in the Hardwick Industrial Estate, Norfolk, according to The Mirror.

Fellow shopper Kathy Whitaker told the outlet, “Another shopper said that Kate was in the shop near the clothing and pointed where she was to me. I just couldn’t believe it. She was with Charlotte and George looking at Halloween outfits but her bodyguard was kind of watching people with phones and telling them no pictures. I managed to get the photo as she was at the self service check out. I didn’t see what she actually bought.”

Whitaker added that Kate spoke to another fellow customer’s children. “The lady that told me she was there had children with her and she said Kate was asking her children what they were going to be for Halloween,” she said. “I think she bought some Halloween bits for her kids but I don’t know what.”

Whitaker recalled Kate as “down to earth” and “beautiful as always,” adding, “It was so lovely to see her doing normal stuff that you and I do. It was so lovely to see her, she is always beautiful. You don’t expect to see that when you go shopping. I couldn’t concentrate on my shopping.”

With six-year-old Prince George and four-year-old Princess Charlotte trailing their mother in the supermarket, Whitaker said, “She was saying: ‘Come on kids.’ She just understandably wanted to keep them safe.”
