Vanessa Hudgens Is Engaged to MLB Star Cole Tucker

The actress is walking down the aisle with her boyfriend of two years.

Congratulations are in order for Vanessa Hudgens, who is soon making her way down the aisle.

The High School Musical star has gotten engaged to her MLB star boyfriend, Colorado Rockies shortstop Cole Tucker, sources at TMZ Sports have learned. While it still remains unknown how exactly the engagement was made official, the outlet speculates that the proposal occurred during the pair’s romantic trip to Paris back in November 2022.

Hudgens—who has been dating Tucker since 2020—recently shared a loving post with him on Instagram featuring a photo of the two of them affectionately looking at one another while out and about dancing.

“I’ll stop the world and melt with you ❤️🥰,” she wrote.

The actress reportedly first met the athlete during a remote meditation session on Zoom.

“Very random, yes,” she reflected to Entertainment Tonight in April 2021. “He’s just kind of perfect for me,” she later added.

Hudgens also specified that she made the first move.

“If I want something or someone, I’m going after them,” she told host Drew Barrymore during a May 2021 appearance on the Drew Barrymore Show. “I fully just slid into his DMs and was like, ‘Hey, it was nice to meet you.’ So I think there is no shame in making the first move.”

Hudgens was previously in a relationship with Elvis star Austin Butler for nearly a decade. The two ultimately called it quits in January 2020, reportedly due to logistical issues surrounding their busy work schedules and long-distance living circumstances.

“They really loved each other and have been through some of their toughest life moments together,” a source told People at the time. “Busy work schedules and travel definitely put a strain on the relationship. They were a wonderful couple and it’s really sad that it didn’t work out.”

“They’re just shooting on two different continents and it’s a matter of distance,” another source told E! News. “There is no bad blood at all, and they have a lot of respect for each other.”
