The skincare maven and social media darling takes Bazaar to the Chanel Cruise 2022/2023 show.
Six months after the collection first debuted at the Monte-Carlo Beach Hotel in Monaco, Chanel showed its Cruise 2022/2023 collection to an audience of super fans, friends of the brands, and editors at Miami’s Faena Hotel. Inspired by all things Monaco, but especially Formula 1 car races, creative director Virginie Viard pulled out all the stops with 67 looks starting with a parade of countless pit-crew coveralls (possibly the most chic ones you’ve ever seen.) Viard doubled down on the racing vibe with black and white checkered tops and swimwear, breezy dresses in starter flag prints, and signature tweed separates in various colors.
Accessories were as signature kitschy Chanel as ever: teeny tiny bags piled on in multiples, number 5-stamped helmets and trucker hats, and both tennis racket bags and bags shaped like tennis rackets punctuated many of the looks. Minutes before the show started, Harper’s Bazaar snuck in some quality time with Lori Harvey snapping a few photographs before she took her front row seat.
