Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty lingerie line is about to get a whole new upgrade.
On Friday, the singer announced on Instagram that she’s launching brick-and-mortar retail stores housing Savage x Fenty pieces across the United States. “2022, we coming in HOT,” the singer wrote. “We bout to bring you a whole new #SavageXFenty experience with the launch of our brick-and-mortar retail stores! can’t believe it’s actually that time, and I can’t wait for you to have this experience irl….”
The singer has launched several fashion and beauty lines including Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin, but her new venture with Savage x Fenty marks her first in the retail sphere, elevating her already wildly successful Fenty empire.
“On the heels of the brand’s incredible growth since first launching in 2018, this new direct-to-consumer experience is the next step to bringing a fuller expression of the brand to consumers in key markets,” Savage X Fenty shared in a statement.
Retail stores are set to launch in five U.S. locations: Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. Following the Vegas launch, stores in the remaining cities will be installed in early 2022.
Since founding the line in 2018, Savage x Fenty has gone on to experience widespread commercial success. Forbes reported in February 2021 that the line was valued at $1 billion.
Last September, Rihanna also celebrated the third edition of her iconic annual Savage x Fenty show, which featured a star-studded cast of models including Gigi Hadid, Precious Lee, Troye Sivan, Erykah Badu, and more.
Per the brand, the third collection emphasized the “strong lines that trace contours of the body and unconventional silhouettes that push the boundaries of individuality to bring out the baddie in everybody.”
