In the past week, Kaia Gerber has worked just about every major couture runway in Paris. The model made cameos on at Valentino, Chanel and Givenchy, where she closed the show in a bridal veil and ethereal gown that was nothing short of breathtaking.
Perhaps as a palate cleanser to all that opulence, the model seems to be taking her off-duty style in the opposite direction entirely. Just yesterday, she was seen on the streets of the French capital in an outfit that relied heavily on a cozy, normcore aesthetic. Styling from the ground up, she threw on pair of chunky ’80s-style New Balance sneakers that looked like they were plucked straight out of your dad’s closet. They were for sure the perfect companion to the retro, oversized blazer shape that she’s been wearing nonstop. Her latest version by Sacai came in a checked print with double lapels. She finished off her dressed-down look with a gray hoodie, straight-leg jeans, and a black top-handle bag to give it more of a put-together feel overall. The takeaway? Looks like Gerber has officially found her model off duty look—and it may just be influenced by her father, Rande Gerber.
