The supermodel and Tokio Hotel musician legally wed February 2019, TMZ reports, which is about two months after their December 2018 engagement. People confirmed that the duo obtained a confidential marriage certificate in California. The husband and wife have not yet publicly responded to the marital news.
The couple first struck up dating rumors in March 2018 before making their public debut as a couple in May that year in Cannes, according to People. Klum told Ellen DeGeneres that she first met Kaulitz in February 2018 at a friend’s party.
“It was to the point so bad when I couldn’t even look at him,” she said of her first impression of the rocker. “You know when you’re attracted to someone so badly you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, I can’t even look at him.'”
The model announced her engagement with a black and white photo on Instagram on December 24. “I SAID YES ❤️,” she captioned a photo of her ring and Kaulitz’s smiling face. Will she be sharing any wedding photos too?
Klum was previously married to the singer Seal, but they officially divorced in 2014. They share three children together: Henry, 14, Johan, 12, and Lou, 9. The former Project Runway host is also a mother to 15-year-old Leni, whom she had with ex Flavio Briatore.
Klum, 46, addressed judgements about her age difference with Kaulitz, 29, in an interview with InStyle last summer.
“My boyfriend is many years younger than me, and lots of people are questioning that and asking about it,” she told the magazine. “That’s really the only time when age seems to be shoved in my face and I have to give an answer for it. I don’t really think about it that much otherwise. You have to just live a happy life without worrying too much about what people think because worrying is only going to give you more wrinkles.”
