Having my hair done by the incredible Alexandry Costa and my makeup done by legendary artist Kay Montana. Not only do they make me feel beautiful but they are two of the kindest, most caring people any woman could dream to work with! Thank you so, so much!
Milla Jovovich has been a regular at the Cannes Film Festival for more than 20 years, but the event hasn’t lost any of its magic for the actress. First setting foot on the fabled red carpet back in 1997, Jovovich made a splash in a sleek Celine column gown by Hedi Slimane at this week’s amfAR gala. The understated look, accented by diamond jewelry, challenged the festival’s “go big or go home” dress code, proving an ideal choice for the annual fundraiser which included a supermodel-filled runway show and live performances by Mariah Carey, Tom Jones, and British rock band, The Struts.
For Jovovich, the event was more than a fun night out. With more than $600 million raised for AIDS research since its inception in 1983, the non-profit’s extraordinary success has impacted the lives of millions. Joined by husband Paul W.S. Anderson and friends like Stella Maxwell, Jovovich was quick to point out the real meaning behind the night’s revelry. “I’ve been supporting amfAR for pretty much 20 years, since the beginning of these auctions and parties,” she shared with reporters pre-show. “It’s a cause that is very close to my heart.”
