And a sweatsuit, because, sweatpants forever.
Rihanna pumped up the volume on lockdown fashion. Last week, the entertainment tour de force and fashion and beauty mogul was photographed leaving Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California, wearing a beige hoodie and matching joggers under an oversized black-and-white checkered coat by Nina Ricci.
For most of us, 2020 has been marked by comfy, cozy pieces—from roomy sweatpants and drawstrings trousers to large sweaters and cashmere cardigans—that have taken over our wardrobes. RiRi certainly got the memo, but because she is a bona fide style icon, the everyday stalwarts simply won’t cut it.
Along with her straight-off-the-runway topper, she accessorized her ensemble with the Camellia Printed Camera Case Bag by Chanel and the Don’t Be Square Slingback Pumps by her own label, Fenty. She rounded out her look with stacks of rings and rows of chain necklaces.
A week prior, while also leaving Giorgio Baldi (clearly, one of her go-to spots), Rihanna wore a large cream-colored teddy coat, ripped denim pants, and Air Jordan sneakers by Nike x Off-White.
On both occasions, Rihanna wore her hair in box braids, pairing the hairstyle with a peachy pout and light bronzed makeup from her Fenty line. In September, she added skincare to her business portfolio.
“I’ve always seen the Fenty brand as more than just makeup, and I knew I wanted to make skin care from the very beginning,” Rihanna told in her September cover story. “It was just about getting it right. You have to live with the formulas for a while and test them in different ways. It’s very different from makeup in that sense. It takes a long time.”
