She was honored with the 2020 GCFA Visionary Award for pioneering inclusivity in the fashion industry.
Zendaya’s jaw-dropping style always fills us with envy, and her latest gown is basically perfect in every way.
Law Roach took to Instagram this weekend to share a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Zendaya’s latest outfit, and it’s something special. The video clip was captioned, “I think she’s the prettiest girl in the world…. @zendaya for the Green Carpet Fashion Awards wearing Archive @versace from Fall 1996 collection… the same year she was born!!!”
Zendaya’s vintage Versace gown fits the Euphoria star perfectly, and features a sheer top adorned with sparkly diamantés. Per @zendayastylefiles, the actress and performer accessorized her perfect gown with a pair of Christian Louboutin’s So Kate 120 pumps in Safki.
Meanwhile, the star exclusively wore Bulgari jewelry, including the “Serpenti” Snakewood gold and diamond bracelet, matching earrings, and a selection of rings from the iconic jeweller.
Zendaya wore the outfit to attend the Green Carpet Fashion Awards, which celebrate equality, inclusivity, and sustainability in fashion, where she was awarded with the 2020 GCFA Visionary Award. Accepting the award, Zendaya said, “It’s an incredible honor and means the world to me.” She continued, “Through the work that I get to do, creating more positions of power, more creative positions, and I hope to continue to be able to do that, until this industry really does reflect the beauty that I see every day.”
Livia Firth of award host Eco Age said (via Harper’s BAZAAR UK), “We admire and celebrate her aim to create a more accurate reflection of the world in which she lives in. From including the first plus-sized model in your 2019 Tommy Hilfiger show, to more recently using an all-Black team to create your September InStyle cover.”
Firth continued, “By working with and championing trailblazing within the Black community, she is a leading example for younger generations and beyond, and this is why we are honoring Zendaya with The GCFA Visionary Award.”
