Versace Debuts a See-Now-Buy-Soon Collection with AJ Tracey

Digital Fashion Week is well underway in Milan, bringing together physical and virtual events for the men’s spring 2021 and resort 2021 collections. Versace, though, has its own contributions to Milanese style—and it’s available to buy this summer. Debuting on a livestream of British rapper AJ Tracey, the brand previewed a “Flash collection” of select pieces available for sale this August.

In keeping with the overarching theme of these digital fashion weeks, Versace’s video pulls back the curtain on how fashion films come together. Tracey enters a studio filled with racks of clothing, testing out styles until settling on a snake-print set that echoes the look worn by model Anok Yai. The collection’s campaign will be created by the shots taken during Tracey’s performance, adding a layer of reality to the video. While the live performance-turned-photoshoot was Versace’s official entry on the Milan Fashion Week calendar, the brand will also be revealing its co-ed resort 2021 collection on Monday, promising plenty more Versace prints to covet.
