“I don’t even know how to express my gratitude…”
Jennifer Aniston is the latest star to show her gratitude to healthcare workers during the pandemic by surprising one coronavirus-hit nurse with a sweet gift.
Appearing on the latest episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the actress was introduced to cardiovascular nurse Kimball Fairbanks via video call. The Utah-based nurse has been diagnosed with COVID-19 while working on the frontline and is separated from her two children since testing positive.
“Hi, honey, it’s so good to meet you,” said Aniston from her home. “I just have to say, God bless you and all of you that are out there doing what you’re doing. I don’t even know how to express my gratitude to everything that you guys are doing, putting your health at risk and all of that. You’re just phenomenal.”
Aniston then revealed that Fairbanks would receive a gift card worth $10,000 to spend on food deliveries during the pandemic. Her fellow nursing staff at the hospital would also be sent vouchers.
While on the show, the Friends star talked about how she’s keeping busy during the coronavirus quarantine. “I’m a born agoraphobe,” Aniston confessed, saying that she has not found self-isolating “much of a challenge.” “Doing dishes is now my new favourite thing in the world because not only are you doing your dishes but you’re washing your hands,” she said.
Aniston also revealed a passion for reorganizing her closets. “I was a crazy person the first week and then I realized I had to pull back because I was going to run out of closets. 30 more days—I’ve got to pace myself.”
