Jennifer Lopez Stopped Her Concert to Sing Happy Birthday to Alex Rodriguez

Prepare to swoon.

  • Having celebrated her own birthday earlier this week, Jennifer Lopez stopped her Miami concert on July 27 to sing “Happy Birthday” to her fiancé Alex Rodriguez.
  • The singer made the audience sing along, and also presented Rodriguez with a birthday cake inspired by the Yankees, and featuring Rodriguez’s number, 13.
  • Lopez tured fifty on July 24 and celebrated with an epic party on Star Island in Miami.

Jennifer Lopez turned fifty this week, and her fiancé’s birthday took place only a few days later.

While performing at the American Airlines Arena in Miami on Saturday night, Lopez stopped the show to bring Alex Rodriguez out on to the stage. Lopez is currently touring the aptly named “It’s My Party: The Live Celebration” tour, and she decided to present her fiancé with a birthday cake in front of the huge audience. The decadent cake was decorated like a Yankees jersey and featured Rodriguez’s own number 13.

Posting a video of the adorable moment on Instagram, Lopez wrote, “Celebrating you today and everyday my love… you are one of a kind, my hurricane and my calm in the middle of the storm…thank you for being such a beautiful light in my life… wishing you the most beautiful birthday ever!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY 13!!!”

Rodriguez pulled out all the stops for Lopez’s fiftieth birthday celebrations, too, even giving his fiancée a $140,000 red-hot Porsche convertible as a gift. According to a source via E! News, “It came with a big gold bow on it and was delivered to their house [yesterday] afternoon. The license plate says JLO.”
