From cool-girl braids to electric yellow eyeshadow, Margot Robbie knows a thing or two about commanding attention on the red carpet. So it’s no surprise that for last night’s premiere of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the actress called upon her seriously talented glam team to deliver a show-stopping beauty look inspired by ’70s goddess Lauren Hutton.
Channeling a specific Richard Avedon portrait of Hutton shot for Vogue in 1973, Robbie arrived at the Los Angeles premiere in a billowing white Chanel frock with her honeyed lengths in a slight curl, just skimming past her shoulders, courtesy of expert stylist Bryce Scarlett. Makeup artist Pati Dubroff, who’s been known to give the Australian It-girl more than a few winning looks, swiped on a copper brown shadow and glossy lip a la Hutton—and posted about her inspiration on Instagram Stories. Never one to shy away from a major beauty reference, Robbie proves that a throwback look can still look thoroughly fresh.
