Earlier this month, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas said “I do” for a second time in Provence, France. The bride wore Louis Vuitton. It was a chic follow-up to the civil ceremony the couple first held back in May, where they surprisingly wed at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. And now, it appears the duo are officially on their romantic honeymoon; they’ve just shared some blissful photos from the getaway.
For their post-wedding vacation, Turner and Jonas chose the luxury resort Soneva Fushi, famous for their water villas, in the Maldives. “Paradise, such a magical place,” Turner wrote of the destination, sharing three new photos of her husband while on the trip. One image shows Jonas lounging ocean-side with a tropical cocktail; another shows him enjoying a plate of sushi. A third photo shows Jonas riding a bike through a leafy forest.
Meanwhile, Jonas also uploaded his own footage from the trip, including a drone-shot video of him going down a water slide, presumably attached to their private villa. “I found happiness,” he wrote, also sharing images of Turner catching some sun, and walking on the beach.
The Maldives clearly holds a special place in the newlyweds’ hearts: they actually vacationed there in February of last year, where Turner uploaded a photo of herself having a beachside picnic. It’s only natural they’d return to mark the beginning of their married life.
