Her bump made its debut at the premiere of “Pokémon Detective Pikachu” in NYC.
Blake Lively knows how to make a red carpet statement: the actress just debuted her baby bump at husband Ryan Reynolds’ film premiere of “Pokémon Detective Pikachu.” The expecting couple already have two children, four-year-old James and two-year-old Inez.

Lively wore a $670 gown from Retrofête to the New York City film premiere, complete with canary-yellow beading and a thigh-high slit. The 31-year-old actress actress added a cinched yellow bow highlighting her baby bump to the look. Her hair was styled curly and coiled, with fresh and glowing makeup and a set of killer gemstone earrings.
The pregnancy announcement came as a total surprise to fans. Lively hasn’t posted anything to her personal Instagram feed since January 11, though she did post several stories last week about Taylor Swift and wishing friends and family members a happy birthday.
Lively has always been vocal about wanting a big family. “Oh, I’d love 30 [children] if I could,” she told Allure back in 2012. Both she and Reynolds come from large families. “I’m one of five kids. My husband is one of four, so we’re officially breeders. You can go on our website and we will give you some of our children,” she joked on Today in 2016.
Yet the couple have chosen to keep their daughters Inez and James mostly out of the spotlight, save for a few public events. “Ryan [Reynolds] had a nice, normal upbringing, and we want our kids to have the same normal life that we had. We don’t ever want to rob them of what we had because then we’d feel really selfish,” she told Marie Claire in 2016.
The couple walked the red carpet for Reynolds latest film in which he voices the beloved phenomenon Pikachu, out May 10. Watch the trailer below:
