The star showed her trendy style in the custom Loewe piece.
Kylie Jenner’s latest red-carpet look embodies her trendy style.
The reality star attended last night’s Baby2Baby Gala in support of her older sister Kim Kardashian, who received the charity’s Giving Tree Award. For the occasion, the Kylie Cosmetics founder chose a custom gown by Loewe, which gives an ultra-sexy spin on the backless trend.
The black piece is comprised of a pleated, semi-sheer front panel with a high halter neck that ties in a flouncy bow at the back, as well as a satin micro-mini skirt, a sheer maxi-length overlay, and an opaque panel that begins at the right hip and flows down to form a short train. Decorative elements include straps that fall over the sleeves and attached tulip-shaped draping.
She finished the look with black strappy heels and an array of diamond jewelry, including floral-shaped earrings, while wearing her hair in an elegant bun.
The star also highlighted the gown’s backless and sideless design on her Instagram, posting pictures of her posing backstage with the caption, “now let’s hear it for the back of the dress !!!”
Jenner is no stranger to amplifying an existing, celeb-loved trend. While attending the BoF 500 gala during Paris Fashion Week last September, she wore a lingerie-style spin on the iconic Mugler bodysuit. The deconstructed wrap dress was comprised of swathes of lace fabric which wrapped around an underlying semi-sheer bodysuit and ended in a miniskirt and dramatic hip-height train that extended to the floor.
She finished the look with a pair of clear heels with silver soles, forgoing any jewelry beyond a pair of sculptural silver earrings, to keep the focus on the bodysuit’s intricate lace extending down to her fingertips.
