Zendaya just gave us another daring red-carpet look.
The Malcolm & Marie actor attended the Women in Film Awards in L.A. last night in a dress from Loewe’s spring ’22 RTW collection, which was shown at Paris Fashion Week six days ago.
Styled by Law Roach, the gray ankle-length body-con dress featured a shining gold plate that covered most of Z’s torso. The standout breastplate was made from brass “handcrafted in France by metal sculptors using unique soldering and hammer techniques,” per People.
Zendaya and Roach completed the look with matching gold Louboutins and statement drop earrings.
The Euphoria actor shared the look to her Instagram Story, captioning a red-carpet pic with a reference to Lauren London’s character in the 2006 film ATL.
“They call me New New,” she wrote.
Zendaya has been shutting down runways in her latest sculpted looks. For the Dune premiere at the Venice Film Festival last month, the 25-year-old star donned a custom leather Balmain gown that was both sculpted to her body and colored to match her skin tone. She accessorized the gown with a 93-carat diamond-and-emerald necklace and ring from Bulgari.Zendaya has been shutting down runways in her latest sculpted looks. Zendaya’s longtime image architect, Roach recently opened up to People about the pair’s collaborative relationship, revealing that their goal is to create looks that get people talking (mission accomplished).
“We have such a relationship that there’s no fear when it comes to fashion. There’s nothing she won’t try. She’s fearless. She has this really beautiful talent of going on the carpet and evoking whatever story we created in the background,” Roach said.
He continued, “All my looks have to tell a story. We create that narrative. There has to be something more than just a pretty dress. Zendaya’s always been my partner in going out to the event and telling a story without even opening her mouth. She puts everything into it.”
