Bella Hadid has been keeping herself busy during the lockdown of COVID-19. So much so that it seems she’s now turning her instagram account into a platform for online home ec classes. Yesterday, the model posted a full step-by-step tutorial on how to build a swing set. The first slide opens with a video of Hadid in a crop top emblazoned with an illustration of a mushroom by 24hr Laundry and a pair of sweat shorts. Decked out in her cool yet rough and tumble outfit, she proceeds to make a hole into a piece of wood using a power drill. (She takes a moment to wave the sawdust away.) Over the next few slides, she gives us a glimpse at her accessories: the aforementioned power drill, slabs of wood spray painted in swirly shades of purple, orange, and red, and rope. (She makes sure to show off her black Nike Air Forces 1s next to a piece of wood.) In the comments, Marc Jacobs perfectly coins Bella’s new moniker: “Bella the builder.”
Clearly Hadid isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. While sheltering in place at her family’s farmhouse in Pennsylvania, we’ve seen her get into the nitty gritty, digging and planting lavender in a camouflage shirt and gloves, complete with, yes, a shovel. She’s also been riding her horses in mom jeans, and climbing trees in embroidered denim (all machine washable, we imagine). Call her a woman of many talents with a slew of stellar looks.
