Summer isn’t over yet, if Bella Hadid and her steamy taste in swimwear have anything to say about it. The 22-year-old model recently rocked the retro-inspired, high-cut bathing suit trend on Instagram, except her iteration had an edgy twist: instead of rising to her waist, the cut of the suit goes as high as her rib cage.
Hadid’s slate gray one-piece, by Heart of Sun Swim for $180, also boasts a deep-V neckline and an open back, resulting in an even more revealing silhouette. Posing poolside and looking unbothered by a tree of hydrangeas, Bella might’ve fooled us into thinking that summer is here to stay.
A sartorial daredevil in and out of the pool, Hadid is no stranger to risqué bathing suits. During a recent getaway to Mykonos with sisters Gigi and Alana, Bella rocked an asymmetrical one-piece by Louisa Ballou with a ’70s psychedelic print. She even accented the number with a body chain at the hips for an aughties flair. Her close friend, Dior Beauty’s Fanny Bourdette-Donon, matched in red and blue suit.
Bella’s donned the traditional string bikini, too. In Greece, she tapped into the signature white color scheme in a dotted cream two-piece, paired with a straw hat and layered necklaces.
Some may be itching to pull out their fall wardrobes, but we’ll stick with Bella and sport our swim suits for as long as we can.
