Madonna Paired a Sheer Corset with Board Shorts While Promoting Her New NFT Series

No one wears a corset like Madonna.

Madonna is now the latest megawatt celebrity to enter the non-fungible token game.

Yesterday, the “Material Girl” singer announced the release of her NFT series, Mother of Creation, a digital triptych in which Mike Winkelmann (also known as the digital artist Beeple) rendered Madonna as a nude woman giving birth to plants, butterflies, and technology.

To promote the NFTs, Madonna posted a series of photos to Instagram showing her posing on a cyber-like set. She wore a lacy nude corset over a pair of board shorts featuring a print of a lightning-filled sky and the silhouette of trees. She upped the ante with her accessories, opting for black fishnet stockings, black single-lens sunglasses, and layers of bracelets.

Proceeds from the NFTs will go toward three charities: The Voices of Children Foundation, which will provide resources for women and children amid the Ukrainian-Russian conflict; City of Joy, a community for women survivors of violence in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo; and Black Mama’s Bail Out, which allocates funds to bail out Black mothers and caretakers who have been jailed while awaiting trial.

“When Mike and I decided to collaborate on this project a year ago, I was excited to have the opportunity to share my vision of the world as a mother and an artist with Mike’s own unique point of view,” Madonna said in a statement. “It’s been an amazing journey building this together from an intellectual idea to an emotional story, giving birth to art. I wanted to investigate the concept of creation, not only the way a child enters the world through a woman’s vagina, but also the way an artist gives birth to creativity. Most importantly we wanted to use this opportunity to benefit mothers and children who are most in need right now.”
