“I definitely want to pull a look and maybe just walk my living room carpet,” said the actress.
- Zendaya revealed last week on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that she plans to still dress up for this year’s virtual Emmy Awards, even though she’ll be joining from home.
- ” I definitely want to pull a look and maybe just walk my living room carpet,” said the actress.
- Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Emmys will be held virtually this year to adhere with social distancing guidelines.
Attending the 2020 Emmy Awards from the comfort of home won’t stop Zendaya from appearing “onstage” in a showstopping ensemble.
During an interview with guest host Ben Platt on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week, the actress shared that even though the Emmys are going digital this year to adhere to social distancing guidelines, she plans to dress up regardless. After all, Zendaya is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Rue Bennett on HBO’s Euphoria—her first Emmy nom ever.
“I want to dress up,” she told Platt during her appearance. “I do want to dress up. I still want to have the experience.”
The actress added that she would most likely spend the evening with her family at home and treat her living room as a stand-in red carpet.
“It’ll be … probably just my family over here, but I definitely want to pull a look and maybe just walk my living room carpet,” said Zendaya. “It’s different for sure, but I’m grateful either way.”
The Euphoria star seldom disappoints on the red carpet. In the past, Zendaya has stolen the show in vibrant creations courtesy of Vera Wang, Tom Ford, and Christopher Esber. So virtual or not, the actress is sure to stun in whatever she ends up wearing for the awards show next month.
