The long-awaited track has arrived in the midst of quarantine, meaning that we all finally have something to dance around our rooms to. Almost as if they knew the world would be in lockdown upon the music video’s release, Gaga and Grande transport us to a rave in the rain, complete with DayGlo outfits, statement eyeliner, and oodles of backup dancers.
The singers coordinate their looks, wearing striking PVC, chains, and fishnet stockings. Both Gaga and Grande perfected their high ponytails, with the A Star Is Born performer rocking multicolored hair. Basically, the music video for “Rain on Me” is nothing short of iconic, which is just what you’d expect from two superstars.
Gaga previously teased the iconic collaboration during an interview with Paper magazine and said, “I sat with her and we talked about our lives. It’s two women having a conversation about how to keep going and how to be grateful for what you do.”
